Hi everybody. I hope you had a good fourth of July. Hey, check it out. Here's a bit of trivia for you. You know where the British were when they found out we wrote the Declaration of Independence? They were on Staten Island. I can hear them now saying, "They did WHAT?" Just a bit of trivia for you.
Now I'm gonna go way back to when I was a kid. One late July, my friend and I joined a youth hostel group and went to Europe. We brought our bikes and it was gonna be a month long bike trip in Europe. It was a great experience for a teenager. I'm brining this up because I just found my diary I made during the whole trip. I was a teenager, in Europe, without my parents. Need I go further. My friend here, who has two teenage boys, is laughing. But, let me say, it's no laughing matter. Let me just throw out a few words: Canal boat, Amsterdam, lost, for a long time. We'll leave it at that.
Have a good week.
Love, B. Nice
P.S. Check out my other blog where I talk about the present.
