Hi you guys. Welcome to my blog where I talk about my present.

I was gonna blog to you on Tuesday, but it was Christmas Eve, December 24th. That was my Mom’s birthday. She’s no longer with us, but happy belated birthday Mom!

I’m pretty sure I told you before, but my mom was a super-mom. When you’re in a situation like I am (Traumatic Brain Injury) you need someone to be by your side all the time. I wouldn’t be at the level I’m at now, if it weren’t for her. It was crazy. I had to do pool therapy every day to learn how to move, stand and walk. She was there every day. And then, my dad was there to help me paint. That was good for my hands, and to relax. My whole family is cool. My sister as well. I’m pretty lucky.

Now, I’m on the fence about what I’m going to talk about. Insurance and healthcare has been in the news lately, and I’m on the fence about it. The pharmecutical companies keep me alive with their medicince, and yet make a huge profit on my misfortune. And don’t even get me started on the insurance company. I mean, I actually saw a therapist arguing with an insurance company. The Insurance company was not going to give this paraplegic I was sitting next to a wheelchair. The insurance company said he didn’t need one. I mean, the guy had to maneuver a chair by breathing through a straw. I don’t know what the solution to all this is. The only thing I can think of is all the profits of the pharmaceutical and insurance company should go back into the caregiver services and research. I mean, I’m tired of these people making a profit on my misfortune. They’re making a profit at the expense of a human soul (hmmmm, sounds familiar).

That’s about it for this week. Miss and love you guys. Love, B. Nice
