You know the saying, “Rags to Riches.” Well, I went from riches to rags. This whole brain injury thing has totally changed my life. I was sitting here going through my grocery list and I thought, oh man, I gotta wait til next week when my food stamps come in. How sad is that? I used to do whatever I want, whenever I want. I guess it’s a lifestyle change.
Never a dull moment with this brain injury thing. It’s interesting though. You know, you gotta flip things around. Use your disability as an advantage. For example, my vision is really far out. I use the way of seeing things for my photography. I told you before, but I just want to reiterate how important this is.
On another note. my daughter was here over thanksgiving. It was really cool. I haven’t seen her in about a year. She’s really grown up. We spent a lot of quality time together. It was fun. It makes me realize that family members have to really stick together and help each other. My parents helped me when I was little. It’s only natural that I should help them when they got older. They’re gone now, but it was cool. I got to spend about 8 years with them. We helped each other. It was cool. I miss them.
That’s about all for this week. I hope you had a good thanksgiving. Love, B. Nice
